The annual July festival says it’s throwing in the towel, blaming soft ticket sales.
This year’s Hultsfred Festival, scheduled for 7-9, was to feature performances by The Hives, 30 Seconds To Mars, Deftones, Erykah Badu, Scissor Sisters, Nas with Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Empire Of The Sun, Everlast, Midlake and Black Mountain. But you can scratch this multi-day concert event off of your to-do list, as organizers say lack of ticket sales has forced them to nix this year’s event.
Actually, it goes a bit deeper than that. According to the festival’s website, the event is filing for bankruptcy, meaning information on ticket refunds is not yet available. While organizers state they want all ticket purchases refunded, that decision isn’t for them to make. Instead, refund info will be handled by whomever is appointed bankruptcy trustee.
