Creed Is In The House

10:01 AM Wednesday 7/14/10 |   |

Creed is doing a special webcast tonight, playing an acoustic set live from frontman Scott Stapp’s house.

Powered by Ustream, the show begins at 7 p.m. EDT on the live video website and will include a question-and-answer session with the band as well as acoustic renditions of several of the Creed songs you’ve come to know and love throughout the years.

Fans taking the time to quiz Creed during the Q&A session might get more than just answers to their questions. Specifically, concert tickets to one of the band’s upcoming shows. That is, depending on how lucky you are.

Creed is doing the webcast to draw attention to their upcoming “20-10 Tour” as well as the outing’s first night – a special show at the Hard Rock Nashville July 26 benefiting victims of the recent floods in Tennessee. The band is pledging 100 percent of its concert proceeds that evening to Hands On Nashville.

Other stops on the “20-10 Tour” include Bristow, Va., at Jiffy Lube Live July 28; Mount Pleasant, Mich., at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort July 30 and Darien Center, N.Y., at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center July 31. Creed’s upcoming road trip also includes shows in Cincinnati, Tinley Park (Chicago), Scranton, Pa., Atlanta, Raleigh, N.C., West Palm Beach, Dallas and The Woodlands (Houston), Texas.

Why is it called the “20-10 Tour?” That’s because the first 2,010 reserved seats in each venue are priced at $20, all-in, meaning no service charges or extra fees. To put it in perspective, for about half the price of a tank of gas you can spend an evening enjoying Creed in concert, as long as you snag one of those 2,010 seats.

But tonight you can have the band on your computer desktop. For more info, click here for the Creed website and here for Ustream.com.
