311 sets sail on its first-ever ocean cruise next March, sailing the Caribbean with a few guests and a boatload of fans.

Presented by Sixthman, the folks responsible for musical escapades on the high seas, the trip begins March 3 aboard the Carnival Destiny steaming out of Miami for a round trip adventure to the Turks and Caicos Islands. Return date is March 7.

311 has always treated the third month of the year as special, often performing a celebratory concert March 11. With the Caribbean trip leading up to 311’s day, the band intends to commemorate more than just one 24-hour.

“The band and I are really excited about working with Sixthman on this cruise,” 311 manager Adam Raspler said. And we have no doubt that it will be the trip of a lifetime for 311 fans.

What can you expect on this voyage? That is, other than plenty of music? The band’s plans include photographing your grinning mug along with every passenger as they board the ship, hosting Q&A sessions and taking song requests during their on-ship concerts. Other performers include Pepper and DJ Soulman from Phunk Junkeez with more acts to be announced.

How do you get started on this ocean-going spectacular? Come August 17 a dedicated 311 Caribbean Cruise website launches at 311.cruise.com followed by the pre-sale a day later. Right now you need to read the pre-sale details at the band’s website. Just click here. Bon Voyage!
