Aerosmith’s Whitford Joins Experience Hendrix

11:01 AM Wednesday 10/6/10 | |

You can add yet another guitar virtuoso to Experience Hendrix as Brad Whitford signs on for the entire tour.

Aerosmith's Whitford joins a stellar lineup of guitar slingers honoring Jimi Hendrix including Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Susan Tedeschi, Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos, Ernie Isley, Living Colour, Mato Nanji of Indigenous, Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble and The Slide Brothers aka Chuck and Darick Campbell of Sacred Steel.

“Since the first time I heard him, and right up until today, [Hendrix] has been an important influence on me – on all of us,” Whitford said.

This year marks the first time Experience Hendrix has fielded two tours. The fall outing begins Oct. 26 in Pittsburgh at the Benedum Center. For more information, click here for the Experience Hendrix website.
