Bayou Country Superfest Set For 2011

11:01 AM Monday 10/25/10 |   |

The Bayou Country Superfest becomes an annual event with the announcement that the second country music extravaganza returns to Baton Rouge’s Tiger Stadium.

Of course, everyone calls their first festival an “annual event,” but here at the Pollstar.com tour dates bunker a new music festival doesn’t enter yearly territory until the second year’s dates are announced.

For Bayou Country Superfest, that means May 28-29.

Superfest promoter Festival Productions will have to work mighty hard to top last year’s lineup featuring Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney and Brooks & Dunn. But hey, that’s why God created professional concert promoters.

The lineup is expected to be released Wednesday, according to Baton Rouge daily newspaper The Advocate. For more information, click here for the Bayou Country Superfest website and here to read The Advocate’s coverage.
