Jimmy Eat World Takes A Bite Out Of 2011

12:01 PM Tuesday 10/26/10 |   |

Announcing the band’s first set of dates for 2011, Jimmy Eat World reveals a game plan beginning in New Mexico and wrapping in Pennsylvania.

“No rest for the wicked” goes the old cliché, a phrase that pretty much describes the Jimmy Eat World universe. The pop punksters have been busy, what with touring North America during the early fall and the current U.K. / Europe tour while the band’s sixth studio album – Invented – burns up the charts.

The 2011 U.S. tour begins at Albuquerque’s Sunshine Theatre Jan. 28 and includes stops at San Antonio’s Backstage Live Jan. 30; New Orleans at House Of Blues Jan. 31; Tampa’s The Ritz Feb. 2; Ft. Lauderdale’s Revolution Feb. 3 and Lake Buena Vista near Orlando at House Of Blues Feb. 4.

Then it’s a trek up the coast, playing Charlotte, N.C., at Amos Southend Feb. 5; Athens, Ga., at 40 Watt Club Feb. 7; Richmond, Va., at The National Feb. 8; Atlantic City’s House Of Blues Feb. 11; Allentown, Pa., at Crocodile Rock Feb. 12; Washington’s 9:30 Club Feb. 13 and Pittsburgh’s Club Zoo Feb. 14. Expect more dates to be announced.

The ticket presale begins Oct. 27 and public onsales kick off Oct. 29 except for the New Orleans date which goes up Nov. 6. For more information, click here for the Jimmy Eat World website.
