Descendents Bringing The Fun Fun Fun

05:01 PM Friday 10/29/10 |   |

Descendents have stepped up to fill in for Devo’s headline spot at next weekend’s Fun Fun Fun Fest.

The festival takes place Nov. 5-7 at Waterloo Park in Austin, Texas. Descendents will take to the stage Sunday, Nov. 7.

Devo was forced to pull out of the performance, in addition to all remaining 2010 dates, earlier this week to allow guitarist Bob Mothersbaugh to recover from a serious hand injury.

Booking Descendents is a big deal because the show marks the punk rock band’s first performance since 2002.

“I really can’t believe it. The Descendents were one of those bands on my dream list that I thought I would never get to book” FFF founder Graham Williams said in a statement. “A week ago, we had no idea what we were going to do, and now we couldn’t be more happy.”

In December Descendents head down under for Australia’s No Sleep Til Festival, playing gigs in Melbourne, Moore Park and Brisbane. The trip will be the band’s first to Australia.

The Fun Fun Fun Fest’s lineup also features “Weird Al” Yankovic, RJD2, MGMT, Suicidal Tendencies, Mastodon and Bad Religion. Tickets are still available.

Good Luck to Milo & the boys!  Back in the day I used to see them at many Punk shows and they were always entertaining!  They made making the trip from L.A. to Fenders in Long Beach well worth it!
