Goo Goo Dolls Plan Canada For February

02:01 PM Monday 11/22/10 |   |

From Newfoundland to British Columbia, nothing can stop the mighty Goo Goo Dolls from their appointed Canadian rounds.

As any experienced traveler can tell you, there’s nothing like a February journey through the Great White North. The snow! The hockey!! The wind chill!!!

The adventure begins in St. John’s Newfoundland, at the Delta Conference Centre Feb. 8, plays Grandfalls-Windsor at the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium Feb. 9 and stops in Halifax for a show at Rebecca Cohn Auditorium Feb. 11.

Other stops include Charlottetown, P.E. (Feb. 12), Montreal (Feb. 16), Ottawa (Feb. 18), Winnipeg (Feb. 23) and Calgary (Feb. 28) before rolling into Vancouver for a gig at the Commodore Ballroom March 2.

Former Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page appears on all dates. Page was scheduled to begin his own tour of Canada this month, but canceled it saying he would tour the country in February. Now you know the reason for Page’s change in plans.

Pre-sales begin Nov. 23. For more information, click here for the Goo Goo Dolls’ website.
