A Rocket To The Moon Announce U.S. Dates

01:01 PM Wednesday 1/5/11 | |

A Rocket To The Moon will soon blast off on their first-ever North American headlining tour.

The American rock band spent last year touring in support of Motion City Soundtrack, Mayday Parade, Hanson and All Time Low. The group also took part in the “Take Action Tour” along with We The Kings, Mayday Parade, There For Tomorrow and Call The Cops.

This spring A Rocket To The Moon will be the stars of the show when their headline tour kicks off March 15 at The Loft in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The 32-city “On Your Side” tour has dates on the books through an April 23 gig at Showcase Live in Foxboro, Mass.

Additional stops include Bourbon Street Ballroom in Baltimore (March 19), The Loft in Dallas (March 29), Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco (April 6), El Corazon in Seattle (April 9), Lincoln Hall in Chicago (April 16) and The Mod Club Theatre in Toronto (April 19).

Valencia, Anarbor, Runner Runner, and Go Radio will appear on all tour dates.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale Monday, Jan. 10. Tickets go on sale to the general public through the band’s official website beginning Jan. 15.

In October A Rocket To The Moon released The Rainy Day Sessions EP exclusively through iTunes. The EP features new versions of tunes from the band’s debut full-length album, 2009’s On Your Side, recorded with female bluegrass group Larkin Poe. The group also included their take on Beyoncé’s hit “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It.)”.

The “On Your Side” tour is being sponsored by www.musicskins.com, the Chicago-based clothing company Snakes & Suits, and The Keep A Breast Foundation. The non-profit foundation is fighting breast cancer by educating young people on methods of prevention, early detection and support.
