iTunes Festival Announces Initial Lineup

Linkin Park, Duran Duran and Rumer have been snagged as the first three acts headlining this year’s edition of the month-long, free iTunes Festival.

The 2011 iTunes Festival takes place during the month of July at the Roadhouse in London. The event will feature 62 bands over the course of 31 nights.

Linkin Park plays July 4, Duran Duran takes to the stage July 16, and British singer-songwriter Rumer performs July 18.

Every ticket to the event is free. To enter to win a pair of tickets to any performance fans simply have to sign up for email alerts through the iTunes Festival website.

The festival was founded in 2007. Last year’s edition featured Ozzy Osbourne, Scissor Sisters, Tony Bennett, Mumford & Sons, Florence & The Machine, Foreigner, and Phoenix
