Leo, who fronts Ted Leo And The Pharmacists, announced the changes to his solo tour schedule through a series of tweets on Friday.
“In the midst of a very bad time, folks. I’m unable to perform the late Jan./early Feb. shows right now, so they’re being postponed,” the singer-songwriter wrote. “I apologize and hope to see you soon. Updates will be here, on FB, and tedleo.com ASAP. Thank you for understanding. xo”
The solo shows were originally set to kick off Jan. 20 at Dover Brick House in Dover, N.H. All performances scheduled through the Feb. 5 show at Local 506 in Chapel Hill, N.C., have been removed from Leo’s tour itinerary.
Ted Leo And The Pharmacists were originally scheduled to appear with Local H Jan. 28 at Legends of Notre Dame in Indiana. That show has been removed from both bands’ tour schedules.
Leo’s Feb. 19-26 solo gigs are still good to go.
The Dover, N.H., show will now take place April 28. The show at Brighton Music Hall in Boston has been rescheduled for April 27. A gig at The Space in Hamden, Conn., is now set for April 29. The Vintage Theatre in Scranton, Pa., will host Leo April 30. A show at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia has been rescheduled for May 1.
As of press time the Jan. 26-Feb. 5 dates have not yet been rescheduled.
