Happening April 15-17 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., headliners include Arcade Fire, Kanye West and Kings of Leon plus an almost endless list of artists and bands including a re-formed Big Audio Dynamite.

With Kings Of Leon topping the Friday, April 15 bill, other first-day acts include The Black Keys, Interpol, The Chemical Brothers, Caifanes, Robyn, Sasha, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Brandon Flowers, Crystal Castles and Magnetic Man.

Along with Arcade Fire’s Saturday, April 16 performance the second-day list includes Animal Collective, Mumford & Sons, Bright Eyes, Empire Of The Sun, Big Audio Dynamite, Steve Angello, the Kills, London Suede, Broken Social Scene, One Day As A Lion, Erykah Badu and Paul van Dyk.

Sunday’s lineup has Kanye West closing after a day of performances by The Strokes, Duran Duran, The National, P.J. Harvey, Death From Above 1979, Wiz Khalifa, Ratatat, Nas & Damian Marley, Jimmy Eat World, Axwell, Sven Vath and The Bloody Beetroots.

But the above mentioned acts are only the short list as the lineup goes deeper each day, listing performances by such notables as Flogging Molly and Ozomatli (Friday), Scissor Sisters, The New Pornographers and Gogol Bordello (Saturday) and Chromeo, Duck Sauce, She Wants Revenge, and Jack’s Mannequin (Sunday).  Plus a zillion more.

This year Coachella has named The Creators Project as its creative partner with the plan calling for collaborations with select headlining acts and curate a series of art installations on the ground.

    This year's Coachella festival was one of the best of the past years. I am glad I was there, grateful that I paid less than what anyone else paid for the festival, and that all of your trolls stayed home watching the couple of webcasts that were offered. Do not go next year either. Stay home.

    Yes I have been to most Coachella's. Last years problems left me in some doubts about attending 2011.

    But of the 2011 line-up. AF, BK, Interpol, Chem Bros, Brandon Flowers, Crystal Castles, Mumford and Sons, Kings of Leon and more have all played Southern California in the last year. For me there is nothing new.

    Tickets are $320 with fee's and postage, camping is $75. You need to eat and drink, maybe buy a tee, so I don't think $6-700 is unlikely when a beer is $8, water $20 and most food $8-20. So $500 would be the minimum unless you live locally. Since Indio, CA has a population of 50K that won't be many.

    But chill bro, you love the line-up great! For me this line-up has no 'wow' factor-especially compared to some of the previous acts like Prince, Roger Waters, Portishead, Rage, Bjork, Radiohead, NIN etc.

    It has many good acts on the line-up, but I have seen them recently and it is nothing very unique to this festival.

    Sorry I grossly offended you because I called a line-up 'a little boring', I will make sure every comment passes your approval in future.

       I'm pretty sure Kanye, KOL, The Black Keys, The Chemical Brothers, and many others booked to play Coachella 2011 have played Bonnaroo in the past. Is Goldenvoice "staying filthy" now? Makes the term "leftovers" seem more apropos now, huh?
