Along with announcing the Allmans last week, Wanee was hyping that it is expanding to three full days of music, meaning that the kick off on Thursday will be just as packed with performances as Friday or Saturday.
Now organizers are filling up those days with some choice acts known for their live performances. Widespread Panic, Robert Plant & Band Of Joy, and Steve Miller Band are just a few of the acts appearing at the Spirit Of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fla., April 14-16.
Also appearing this year are The Warren Haynes Band, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Ween, 7 Walkers Feat. Bill Kreutzmann, Galactic, Taj Mahal, North Mississippi Allstars, Keller Williams, John Popper & The Duskray Troubadours, The Radiators, Wanda Jackson and Rusted Root plus more bands and artists than we can note in this space without sending out for more bytes.
So far, Wanee hasn’t released a day-to-day schedule, so your guess is as good as the next person’s when it comes to set times and which bands are appearing on which days.
But you can buy tickets beginning Jan. 22 when the festival goes up with three-day general admission passes as well as VIP packages which include admission to the expanded Wanee kick off party on Wednesday, April 13, plus four nights of primitive camping, drink specials, access to the private concert viewing area, VIP shirt, commemorative poster and lunch and dinner catering.
