Black Country Communion Plots ‘Academy’ Run

04:01 PM Monday 1/31/11 |   |

The band featuring Joe Bonamassa, Glenn Hughes, Derek Sherinian and Jason Bonham masterminds a very short tour of the United Kingdom.

The dates fall immediately after the band appears on London’s High Voltage Festival at Victoria Park July 24. Featuring Bonamassa on guitar / vocals, Hughes on bass / vocals, Sherinian on keyboards and drummer Bonham, Black Country Communion’s U.K. outing continues with gigs at O2 Academy Leeds July 26; O2 Academy Newcastle July 27; O2 Academy Glasgow July 29 and Manchester Academy July 30.

If all goes as planned, Black Country Communion will have released a new album by the time the U.K. dates roll around. Although the band got plenty of mileage out of its 2010 self-titled debut album, including the No. 1 slot on the U.K. rock album chart, the band will release its yet-untitled second album in June.

A special presale begins Feb. 2 at 9 a.m. for O2 Academy Priority subscribers. Just click here for the run down. Tickets go on sale to the general public Feb. 4 at 9 a.m. All times GMT. For more information about Black Country Communion, click here for the band’s web home.
