Usher Delivers New Dates

During his heavily leaked surprise appearance on the Super Bowl halftime show, Usher promised to unveil the second leg of his OMG tour later this week. True to his word, the ultra-smooth R&B star lays out an April-June routing that includes shows on both coasts and plenty of dates for fly-over states.

The fresh batch of concert dates begins April 27 in Fort Lauderdale at the BankAtlantic Center followed with April 28 at Orlando’s Amway Center; April 30 in Charlotte, N.C., at the Time Warner Cable Arena and May 1 in Columbia, S.C., at the Colonial Life Arena.

Usher then heads to Atlantic City for a gig at Boardwalk Hall May 6; plays Uniondale, N.Y., at the Nassau Coliseum May 8 and touches down in Pittsburgh for a gig at the Consol Energy Center May 11. Other stops include Cleveland (May 12), Auburn Hills, Mich. (May 15); Chicago (May 20), Minneapolis (May 21), Omaha (May 22), Portland, Ore. (May 26), Sacramento (May 28) and San Jose (May 29). Last date on the schedule is June 1 in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

There’s also a couple of new Canada listings on the leg – Toronto at the Air Canada Centre May 14 and Vancouver at Rogers Arena May 25.
