Essence Communications President Michelle Ebanks said the 2011 lineup includes several artists fans asked to see. Scheduled for July 1-3 at the Louisiana Superdome, this year’s Essence also includes performances by Charlie Wilson, Fantasia, Boyz II Men, Stephanie Mills, Macy Gray, Dwele, Alexander O’Neal & Cherrelle, Mint Condition, Kelly Price, M.C. Lyte and George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic.
At this time the festival is selling ticket packages encompassing all three days along with plenty of perks. The Platinum VIP Festival Weekend Package includes center-stage seating in the first ten rows and an all-access pass to the platinum VIP lounge.
