An Ultra Sell Out

04:59 PM Friday 2/18/11 |   |

Electronic fans have shown their support for Ultra Music Festival by snatching up every single ticket to the event.

Promoters proudly announced the festival’s sold out status earlier today.

After making its debut 13 years ago, 2011 marks the first time the festival expanded to a three-day event. Ultra takes place March 25-27 at Bicentennial Park in Miami.

Tiësto kicks off the festival as the March 25 headliner. Friday’s lineup also features Carl Cox, Pendulum, Erasure, Roger Sanchez and CSS.

Deadmau5 headlines the following night, sharing Saturday’s lineup with Underworld, Empire Of The Sun, Moby, Cut Copy, Kaskade, Klaxons, Rusko and Sasha.

Sunday’s lineup features The Chemical Brothers, David Guetta, Crystal Castles, Chromeo, MSTRKRFT, will.i.am, Disco Biscuits and Erick Morillo.

The complete lineup includes over 200 electronic music performers, DJs and bands.

Last year Ultra Music Festival was recognized in Pollstar’s mid-year issue as the fourth top grossing concert. This year the festival expects to welcome 150,000 attendees over the three days.
