Pitchfork Announces Dates, No Bands

03:01 PM Friday 2/25/11 |   |

This year’s Pitchfork Music Festival rocks Chicago July 15-17. As to who is on the lineup, we’ll just have to wait and see.

That’s right, no bands were mentioned in today’s lineup. In fact, other than the dates, the only other tidbit of information revealed today is the location – Chicago’s Union Park –and the ticket onsale that launches March 4.

But lack of a lineup shouldn’t be a problem for fans making their summer plans. Last year’s Pitchfork Music Festival sold out within a week of going onsale.

Speaking of last year’s extravaganza, Pitchfork 2010 included performances by Broken Social Scene, Modest Mouse, Pavement, LCD Soundsystem, Wolf Parade and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
