Starring Ringo & His Band

01:01 PM Thursday 3/3/11 |   |

This summer Ringo Starr will take his All Starr Band to Europe. In a video announcing the tour, the drummer promised the group would perform “from Russia to Spain. … We’re going all over.”

The eleventh version of the All Starr Band features Edgar Winter, Gary Wright, Rick Derringer, Mr. Mister’s Richard Page, The Romantics’ Wally Palmer and Gregg Bissonette.

The European tour, which marks the first 2011 dates for the group, begins June 10 at Goteborg, Sweden with a performance at Lisebergshallen. Headline dates are booked through a June 26 gig at Paris’ Palais Des Sports.

A round of United Kingdom shows kick off with a June 17 set at Hampton Court Palace Festival in Surrey. Additional U.K. gigs include stops in Liverpool (June 18), Birmingham (June 20), Manchester (June 22), Glasgow (June 23) and Bournemouth (June 24).

On June 12 Starr and his band play Randers, Denmark with a show at Vaerket. Fans can also find the musicians at this year’s Bospop, which takes place July 8-10 in Weert, Netherlands. The festival has not released its daily lineup yet.

More dates will be added soon.

Select tickets are on sale now through a Live Nation presale. The majority of dates go on sale to the general public Friday, March 4.

Starr’s tour announcement video also noted that the drummer is working on a new record with “a lot of good friends helping out.”
