Chiddy Bang To Headline Bamboozle Roadshow

11:01 AM Wednesday 3/23/11 |   |

Living up to the Bamboozle Festival’s rep for presenting up-and-coming acts, the Bamboozle Roadshow launches in May featuring Chiddy Bang along with Pusha T, Dev and Ninjasonik.

Bamboozle founder John D’Esposito always maintains that the annual festival, taking place this year at the New Meadowlands Stadium in E. Rutherford, N.J., April 29-May 1 is all about artist development and this year’s Roadshow lineup reflects the concept with the inclusion of 2011 MTV Woodie awards best video winner Chiddy Bang comprised of emcee Chiddy and DJ/producer Xaphoon Jones. Having already sold more than one million copies of their debut single, “Opposite Of Adults,” Chiddy Bang’s first album, Breakfast, will be released this summer.

The other Roadshow artists are also poised for greatness.  Pusha T recently signed with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. music label and is known as one half of Virginia Beach, Va., hip hop duo Clipse. Dev indirectly achieved a taste of success when her song “Booty Bounce” was sampled by The Far East Movement for their own hit, “Like A G6.” Ninjasonik, a trio featuring DJ Roofeo with vocalists Jah-Jah and Telli has been making an impact in indie rock and hip hop circles.

The Bamboozle Roadshow begins at Boston’s House Of Blues May 4 then heads to Charlotte, N.C., for a show at the Fillmore May 6. Next is a series of House Of Blues gigs in Myrtle Beach (May 7), Lake Buena Vista, Fla., near Orlando (May 11), Houston (May 13), Dallas (May 15), San Diego (May 18) and West Hollywood (May 19). Other stops include Vancouver, B.C., at the Commodore Ballroom May 24; Indianapolis at Egyptian Room June 2; Cincinnati at Bogart’s June 3; Philadelphia at Theatre of Living Arts June 8 and Toronto at the Sound Academy June 10. Expect more dates to be announced.

A presale is already underway. Visit the Bamboozle Roadshow website for more information.
