OFF! Tour Is On

12:01 PM Wednesday 3/23/11 |   |

It’s not often we receive a tour announcement accompanied by information indicating the traveling band is facing potential criminal charges. Such is the case of Los Angeles-based hardcore punk quartet OFF!

Having just come “off” of a run of SXSW gigs in Austin, Texas, where the band performed six shows in three days, OFF! is on the road with Trash Talk through April 3, has added new shows for April and is playing Coachella April 17.

Sandwiched in between the band’s tour dates is a court appearance April 6. Seems while in Arizona the boys in the band – Keith Morris (Circle Jerks/Black Flag), Steven McDonald (Redd Kross), Dimitri Coats (Burning Brides) and Mario Rubalcaba (Rocket From The Crypt, Earthless, Hot Snakes) – were popped for allegedly stealing used vegetable oil for their ecology-minded van that runs on the stuff.

Meanwhile, you can see OFF! in action at places like Chapel Hill’s Local 506 March 22; Baltimore’s Ottobar March 25; Cleveland’s Grog Shop March 31 and Minneapolis at the Triple Rock Social Club April 3. Newly added, post-court shows include April 21 in San Francisco at The Eagle; Portland, Ore., at East End April 23; Seattle at Neumos April 24 and Vancouver at the Fortune Sound Club April 25.

More information is yours for the taking at the band’s website. Just click here.
