Lovett, Hiatt & Prine Booked For Cayamo Cruise

02:01 PM Friday 3/25/11 |   |

The fifth annual Cayamo Cruise sails out of Miami next February with a lineup including Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, John Prine, Richard Thompson, Keb’ Mo’, Buddy Miller, Loudon Wainwright, Iris Dement and Greg Brown.

Presented by Sixthman, the folks who bring you Caribbean adventures such as the “Rock Boat” featuring Sister Hazel and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man Cruise,” Cayamo 2012 departs Miami for Cayo Levantado, St. Maarten and St. Barts aboard The Norwegian Pearl Feb. 5, returning Feb. 12. Other acts include Shawn Mullins, James McMurtry, Chuck Cannon, Works Progress Administration, Aslyn, Enter the Haggis, the Ryan Montbleau Band with more to be announced.

We wouldn’t blame you if you’re already contemplating those onboard jam sessions and spontaneous collaborations these cruises have become known for. After all, with a lineup like this there’s bound to be some performances that no one, including the artists themselves, expect. Right now the only thing Sixthman is saying is that Lovett and Hiatt will perform all of their main stage concerts together.

“The Cayamo community has become more than we ever dreamed since launching it in 2008,” Sixthman CEO Andy Levine said when announcing the lineup.

“Celebrating the fifth annual cruise is a milestone for us as well as an opportunity to set the stage for one-of-a-kind collaborations between past Cayamo heroes and new artists joining the family.”

Prices begin at $1,235. Check out Cayamo.com for more information.
