Meat Puppets’ Beefy Tour Schedule

Currently on the road with Slightly Stoopid, the Meat Puppets keep on keeping on with a new string of dates beginning in Texas in June and wrapping in July at Milwaukee’s Summerfest.

The Meat Puppets’ new album, Lollipop, drops today on Megaforce Records. Produced by MP’s Curt Kirwood, Lollipop is album No. 13 for the band.

Before we get into the June-July dates, we need to mention the band has a short list of shows with Slightly Stoopid taking place in April and May. Stops include Lexington, Ky, at Busters April 27; Knoxville, Tenn., at The Valarium April 28; Tulsa, Okla., at Cain’s Ballroom April 30; Lawrence, Kan., at Liberty Hall May 1; Des Moines, Iowa, at Simon Estes Amphitheater May 3; Fargo, N.D., at The Venue May 5; Minneapolis at First Avenue May 6 and St. Louis at The Pageant May 7.

Meat Puppets then head to the U.K. for the Animal Collective-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties in Somerset, England, where the band will perform its third album, Up On The Sun, in its entirety May 14. The band follows the ATP gig with a string of shows with destinations including Berlin (May 17), Amsterdam (May 19), Copenhagen (May 28), London (May 30-31) and Dublin (May 31).

The newly announced shows begin with a gig in Lubbock, Texas, at The Blue Light June 8 and include Santa Fe, N.M., at Santa Fe Brewing Co. June 9; Albuquerque, N.M., at Launchpad June 10; Phoenix at the Clubhouse June 11; Los Angeles at Echo June 16 and Seattle’s Crocodile Café June 21. While most of the band’s June-July run is made up of shows in western states, look for the Meat Puppets to play Milwaukee’s Summerfest July 9.
