Dave Matthews Band Reveals Remaining Caravan Details

The third and fourth Caravans presented by the Dave Matthews Band take place at New York City’s Governors Island Aug. 26-28 and near Quincy, Wash., at the Gorge Amphitheatre Sept. 2-4.

The Governor’s Island Caravan will include performances by Dispatch, The Roots, Gogol Bordello, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Josh Ritter & The Royal City Band, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, The Head And The Heart, Vieux Farka Toure, David Wax Museum and more.

Caravan’s Gorge lineup is similar and includes Dispatch, The Roots, John Butler Trio, Gogol Bordello, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Josh Ritter & The Royal City Band, Blind Pilot, The Belle Brigade, The Moondoggies, Lindsay Fuller plus more to be announced.

The Dave Matthews Band announced in 2010 that it wouldn’t do one of its signature mega-tours this year, but would offer fans something different. That turned out to be the Caravans – multi-day destination festivals starring DMB performing each evening. Up until now two Caravans had been announced with the first taking place in Atlanta Atlantic City at Bader Field June 24-26 and the second happening in Chicago July 8-10 at the former industrial grounds known as Lakeside.

Here’s the ticket situation for the newly announced caravans. Governor’s Island presales for DMB’s Warehouse members and Citi cardmembers begin April 25 at 10 a.m. and the public onsale launches April 29 at 10 a.m. All times EDT.

The Warehouse presale for The Gorge commences April 28 at 10 a.m. while the Citi presale begins May 2 at 10 a.m. The public onsale begins May 6 at 10 a.m. All times PDT.

    The show at Bader Field on June 24-26 is in Atlantic City, NJ NOT Atlanta, GA......also whoever scheduled these festival shows doesn't know what they're doing. 3 out of the 4 shows are in the Northeast, they completely left out the southwest and southeast.
