Promising everything you’ve come to expect from his musical extravaganzas, including the 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra as well as “The King Of The Waltz” playing his famed Stradivarius violin, “An Evening With André Rieu” launches its North American run in Calgary, Alb., at the Scotiabank Saddledome Sept. 10 and continues with more shows in Canada, playing Edmonton’s Rexall Place Sept. 11, Saskatoon’s Credit Union Center Sept. 12 and Winnipeg’s MTS Centre Sept. 14. Other Canadian stops include Ottawa (Nov. 22) and Montreal (Nov. 23).

The first U.S. stop on the routing is Saint Paul, Minn., at the Xcel Energy Center Sept. 16. Other markets Chicago (Sept. 18); Detroit (Sept. 19), San Antonio (Oct. 18); Washington, D.C. (Nov. 19); Uniondale, N.Y. (Nov. 26); Philadelphia (Nov. 29) and Wallingford, Conn. (Nov. 30).

“My main goal, in every concert, is for people to have an unforgettable night,” Rieu said. “I like to talk to my audience, interact with them and look them in the eyes. People can expect a colorful concert, with beautiful melodies, waltzes, surprises, balloons, the tenors and our lovely sopranos from South Africa and Australia.”

Ticket sales begin April 30 at 10 a.m. local time. Visit Andrerieu.com for more information.
