Sheen Tour Wraps With A Whimper

03:31 PM Thursday 5/5/11 | |

Even Canadian comedian Russell Peters couldn’t save the bomb that was Charlie Sheen’s recent “Violent Torpedo of Truth” tour stop at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia May 2.

The conversation between host Peters, who livened things up in Toronto, and Sheen failed to sustain the interest of many in the crowd that were filmed leaving the venue well before the performance was over.

“I don’t want to say bad things about him because I love him, but he’s not winning tonight,” one fan told CTV News outside the arena.

Another fan that won a ticket through a contest told CTV he couldn’t stand to watch another minute of the show.

“It’s not even worth the free ticket,” he said.

While the requisite “Two and a Half Men” jabs were made, highlights of the evening apparently included Sheen dishing on “retarded fuckin’ troll zombie” porn stars, the fact that he didn’t shoot Kelly Preston and the time he bought Tom Cruise a hooker, the Georgia Strait reported.

“I’ve never said that in public,” Sheen reportedly told the crowd. “The church of Martian idiots is gonna be all over me now.”

Local media pegged attendance for the show at roughly 3,000 – well under the 8,000-capacity seating configuration that had been set for the show.

Sheen’s tour wrapped the following evening in Everett, Wash., near Seattle.
