Pearl Jam Announces Labor Day Fest & More

01:01 PM Monday 5/16/11 | |

Pearl Jam has revealed the dates, location and lineup for its 20th anniversary festival weekend along with a Canadian tour.

Back in December manager Kelly Curtis announced on the band’s Sirius/XM Radio station that Pearl Jam was planning its own festival for “somewhere in the middle of the country” sometime in summer 2011.

Here’s the news you’ve been waiting months for. The festival takes place over Labor Day weekend Sept. 3-4 in East Troy, Wis., at Alpine Valley Music Theatre.

In addition to Eddie Vedder and the guys, the festival will also feature The Strokes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Mudhoney, John Doe, Joseph Arthur, Glen Hansard and Liam Finn.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale to current Ten Club members Monday, May 23 at 10 a.m. PDT. These pre-sale tickets will be exclusively two-day package tickets, as single-day tickets will not be sold through Ten Club. Pre-sale tickets will be distributed at will call the evening of the festival. To take advantage of the pre-sale, fans must be active Ten Club members as of Sunday, May 15.

Tickets go on sale to the general public June 4 at 10 a.m. local time.

Pearl Jam’s Canadian trek kicks off Sept. 7 at Montreal’s Bell Centre. Dates are on the books through a Sept. 25 gig at Vancouver at P.N.E. Pacific Coliseum.

Shows scheduled in between include performances in Toronto (Sept. 11-12); Ottawa, Ontario (Sept. 14); Hamilton, Ontario (Sept. 15), Winnipeg, Manitoba (Sept. 17); Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Sept. 19); Calgary, Alberta (Sept. 21); and Edmonton, Alberta (Sept. 23).

A Ten Club members pre-sale is set for May 24 at 10 a.m. PDT. Tickets are limited to two tickets per member, per show. No single tickets will be sold in the pre-sale.

Tickets to the Canadian shows, with the exception of the Montreal gig, go on sale to the general public May 27 at 10 a.m. local time. The public ticket sale for the Montreal show is set for May 28 at 10 a.m. local time.

Pearl Jam is donating $2 from every ticket sold from both the Labor Day anniversary weekend concert and Canadian tour to Vitalogy Foundation. The organization grants funds to non-profits chosen personally by members of Pearl Jam.
