Matthew Morrison Joins NKOTBSB

01:01 PM Tuesday 5/17/11 |   |

There’s been an abrupt shift in Matthew Morrison’s touring schedule with the “Glee” actor/singer rearranging his own routing so he can join the New Kids On The Block / Backstreet Boys tour.

Morrison – a.k.a. Will Schuester on “Glee” – begins an overseas tour in early June, playing Dublin as well as several United Kingdom cities. His North American headlining tour was originally scheduled to begin June 18 in Minneapolis at The Orpheum Theatre and wrap July 23 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.

But that was before New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys beckoned. Now Morrison is postponing some of his headline shows so he can join the NKOTBSB tour as special guest beginning July 6 in Anaheim and running through Aug. 7 in London, Ontario.

So far, only one of Morrison’s original dates has been announced as rescheduled. His July 1 New York City Beacon Theatre appearance has been moved to August 1 with tickets for the original date being honored.

“This was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” Morrison said about having to reschedule some of his gigs so he can join up with New Kids and Backstreet Boys. “I am so appreciative of my fans and I’m planning to give them a great show.”

More details regarding postponed headline dates are expected to be released soon. Check out MatthewMorrison.com for more information.
