Having already established himself in his native Norway, the former Quadraphonics singer has been compared to such notables as father and son legends Tim and Jeff Buckley as well as Nick Cave and the Zombies’ Colin Blunstone. Individually, the albums that make up his “October” series, beginning with 2002’s That Great October Sound, have achieved gold and platinum status.

The U.S. tour begins one day after the album lands in stores with Dybdahl and his five-piece band playing New York’s Mercury Lounge July 13. Other stops on this brief coast-to-coast run include Philadelphia’s World Café Live July 15; Detroit’s Magic Stick July 21; Chicago at Schuba’s Tavern July 22 and Minneapolis at 7th Street Entry July 23.
West Coast appearances include Seattle’s Chop Suey July 27; San Francisco at the Brick & Mortar Music Hall July 29 and Los Angeles at The Satellite July 30.
