Touring in support of his latest album, 2010’s Up Close, Johnson will also appear on a couple of Steve Miller Band dates – July 17 at Sleep Country Amphitheatre in Ridgefield, Wash., and Aug. 7 in Clarkston, Mich., at the DTE Energy Music Theatre – and joins Buddy Guy at the Red Sky Music Festival in Omaha, Neb., July 21.

The headline run begins in Tempe, Ariz., at The Marquee July 7, plays Tucson’s Rialto Theatre July 8 and stops in San Diego for a gig at Anthology July 9. Other cities on the routing include Seattle (July 19); Denver (July 22); St. Louis (Aug. 2); Milwaukee (Aug. 5); New York (Aug. 10) and Sellersville, Pa., Aug. 14.

If you liked Up Close on CD you’ll love it on vinyl. The album was recently released on 180 gram vinyl and packaged in a special double LP gatefold package. As an added enticement for audiophiles, the vinyl release was remastered by Jim Wilson.

Some shows are already on sale. Check out EricJohnson.com for more information.
