Get out your festival scorecards and prepare to add several new acts to this year’s Moogfest, including Moby, Amon Tobin and Dan Deacon.
Moogfest 2011 celebrates the legacy of synthesizer pioneer Bob Moog in his adapted hometown of Asheville, N.C., Oct. 28-30. Taking place at various venues including the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, Diana Wortham Theatre and the Asheville Civic Center, previously announced acts on the lineup include The Flaming Lips, Tangerine Dream, Suicide, STS9, Ghostland Observatory, Crystal Castles and Toro Y Moi.
Now you can add Moby, who will perform with a full band, to the bill. Other additions include Kode9, The Antlers, Atlas Sound, Glasser, Beak>, Lunzproject featuring Hans Joachim-Roedelius and Tim Story, Wham City Comedy Tour and Stickman featuring Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto.
