Elvis Lives – And He’s Going On Tour

05:01 PM Tuesday 6/28/11 | |

The multi-media and live musical journey through The King’s life is back with more than 20 U.S. dates.

Elvis Lives: “The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Event” features finalists from Elvis Presley Enterprises’ annual worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Each of the Elvis tribute artists will take on one of the four eras of the singer’s life: 1950s, the 1960s, his movie career and his concert years.

The tour, which debuted in January 2010, promises to “capture the imaginations and interests of all types of fans including Broadway, concert and Elvis aficionados.” The show also includes a live band, back-up singers, dancers and an Ann-Margret tribute artist.

The show returns on Jan. 14 with a gig in Morganton, N.C., at CoMMA. Dates are booked through a Feb. 19 gig at the Casper Events Center in Wyoming.

Additional tour stops include Greensboro, N.C., at War Memorial Auditorium (Jan. 17); West Palm Beach, Fla., at Kravis Center (Jan. 23); Columbia, Mo., at Jesse Auditorium (Feb. 1); Rosemont Theatre in Illinois (Feb. 4); Sioux City, Iowa at Orpheum Theatre (Feb. 6); and Lexington Opera House in Kentucky (Feb. 9).

More dates will be announced soon.
