Def Leppard Schedule Changes

10:01 AM Thursday 7/7/11 |   |

A family illness has put the Def Leppard tour itinerary in flux as the band postpones tonight’s gig in Ohio as well as stops on the East Coast.

Cincinnati Def Leppard fans anxiously awaiting tonight’s performance at the Riverbend Music Center will have to wait a little longer. The band has rescheduled the gig for July 27. Tickets purchased for tonight will be honored on the new date.

Meanwhile, Live Nation says the band’s July 12 appearance in Wantagh, N.Y., at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater and the July 13 show in Holmdel, N.J., at the PNC Bank Arts Center have also been postponed. New dates for those venues should be announced shortly.

At this time there is no word on the status of the two dates still on the books for this weekend. Def Leppard is scheduled to play Bristow, Va., at Jiffy Lube Live July 9 and Saratoga Springs, N.Y., at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center July 10.

But it’s not just Def Leppard fans facing the bitter face of postponement. The band is touring with special guest Heart, so today’s announcement is also bad news for fans of Wilson sisters Ann and Nancy.

This is sad news. I hope everything works out and whoever is ill has a speedy recovery.  Love me some Def Leppard :-)

I'd rather hear 3 hours of Heart anyway...
