The shows take place in venues around San Francisco with a couple of the gigs scheduled before Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival begins and the rest of the late night concerts set for 10 p.m. during the Aug. 12-14 event.
To purchase tickets to one of the Outside Lands night shows a fan must be an Outside Lands ticket holder as of July 7.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah play this year’s first night show Aug. 10 at The Independent at 9 p.m.
On Aug. 11 Best Coast and Eskmo play California Academy of Sciences at 6 p.m., followed by a 9 p.m. show at The Independent featuring The Original Meters and DJ Harry Duncan.
Fans have two Aug. 12 shows to choose between: Arctic Monkeys and The Vaccines at The Independent or Vetiver at Rickshaw Stop.
The Independent features STS9 on Aug. 13 followed by Warren Haynes Band on Aug. 14. All proceeds from the Warren Haynes Band show will go towards San Francisco Recreation and Park.
Vetiver’s show at Rickshaw Stop is an all ages gig. The rest of the night shows are limited to fans age 21 and over.
Tickets for the night shows go on sale Saturday. Passwords were sent via email to all Outside Lands ticket holders this morning.
The 2011 edition of Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival takes place in Golden Gate Park and features an extensive lineup including Muse, Phish, Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, Deadmau5, The Shins, MGMT, Girl Talk, The Decemberists, John Fogerty and Erykah Badu.
