Weezer On The Water

11:01 AM Wednesday 7/13/11 | |

Do you have what it takes to spend four days on the Caribbean with Weezer? Grab your water wings and check out the details after the jump.

Departing Miami Jan. 19 for the island of Cozumel off the coast of Mexico, The Weezer Cruise is being described as a music festival at sea featuring Rivers Cuomo & Co. curating a looong list of acts appearing on four stages. Along for the fun will be Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh, Gene Ween and Dave Dreiwitz, Wavves, The Antlers, Yuck, Free Energy, Boom Bip, J. Mascis, Lou Barlow, Keepaway, Ozma, The Nervous Wreckords, The Knocks, Sleeper Agent, and Yacht Rock Revue.

You get plenty of Weezer for this four-day journey, starting with the band playing poolside as the mighty Carnival Destiny departs the harbor. Weezer will also play the ship’s main theater.

Presented by concert cruise folks Sixthman, The Weezer Cruise also includes a day on Cozumel’s beaches. Yes, all the elements needed for the perfect vacation – Weezer, sun, salt water and sand – come together Jan. 19-23. Who could ask for more?

Double cabins start at $799 per person but four people can sail together for $599 each. Pre-sale bookings begin July 21 and cabins go on sale to the general public Aug. 3. Meanwhile, you can sign up for the pre-sale right now. Just click here.
