Something Toxic In The Air

05:01 PM Thursday 7/28/11 | |

The Airborne Toxic Event is following up its recent five-month tour with another trek through the U.S. and Europe.

The Los Angeles-based indie rock band begins the U.S. leg of its fall world tour Sept. 1 in Anchorage, Alaska, at the Bear Tooth Theatre Pub.

Additional dates include Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium (Oct. 9); Houston’s Warehouse Live (Oct. 12); New Orleans at Howlin’ Wolf (Oct. 14); and San Francisco at The Fillmore (Oct. 21).

After The Airborne Toxic Event gets back from Europe, the U.S. dates continue with a Nov. 9 show in Chicago at Riviera Theatre. The band will also play Minneapolis at First Avenue (Nov. 10); Indianapolis at The Vogue (Nov. 12); Baltimore at Rams Head Live! (Nov. 17); New York’s Terminal 5 (Nov. 18); Washington, D.C., at 9:30 Club (Nov. 22); and Orlando, Fla., at Beacham Theatre (Nov. 30). The run wraps up Dec. 7 in Tempe, Ariz., at The Marquee.

The band has also squeezed in one Canadian show with a Nov. 15 gig in Toronto at Phoenix Concert Theatre.

The fall European dates are scheduled Oct. 26 through Nov. 7 with shows in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom and Ireland.

On Friday the band plays Detroit at Majestic Café followed by two events in New York (July 30-31) and several dates supporting The Drowning Men (Aug. 2-5).

Upcoming festival appearances include V Festival in the United Kingdom (Aug. 20-21); Del Mar Summer Concert Series in California (Aug. 26); Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas (Sept. 18); and De Luna Festival in Pensacola Beach, Fla. (Oct. 16).

The Airborne Toxic Event is touring in support of its sophomore album, All At Once. The album was released earlier this year on Island Records. After playing “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” earlier this year, the band will return to the NBC stage for a Sept. 30 performance.

A pre-sale for the European dates began earlier this week. A pre-sale for the North American shows begins Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
