Mute Math’s Odd Fall Tour

04:01 PM Friday 7/29/11 |   |

Mute Math is returning to some of the intimate clubs they first played when they got their start seven years ago as part of the alternative rock band’s upcoming fall tour.

The tour will give the band a chance to show off tunes from their upcoming third studio album, Odd Soul. The album is due out Oct. 4 on Teleprompt/Warner Bros. Records as the follow-up to 2009’s Armistice. Mute Math will celebrate by performing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” the night of the release.

“The Odd Soul Introduction Tour” begins Sept. 7 in Charleston, S.C., at The Poor House. Dates are booked through an Oct. 21 hometown show in New Orleans at One Eyed Jacks.

Stops along the way include Athens, Ga., at 40 Watt Club (Sept. 10); Buffalo, N.Y., at Mohawk Place (Sept. 22); Milwaukee at The Rave Eagles Club (Sept. 30); San Antonio, Texas, at Endless Music Nightclub (Oct. 9); Memphis at Hi-Tone Café (Oct. 12); Jacksonville, Fla., at Jack Rabbits (Oct. 17); and Birmingham, Ala., at WorkPlay Theatre (Oct. 20).

Mute Math has also lined up several August appearances including the Brady District Block Party in Tulsa, Okla. (Aug. 6) and Summer Sonic in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan (Aug. 13-14); followed by shows in West Hollywood, Calif. (Aug. 16); Mobile, Ala. (Aug. 20); and New York (Aug. 25).

A pre-sale for a VIP package including tickets, a physical and digital copy of Odd Soul, and a digital download of the tune “Blood Pressure” is ongoing now.

Regular tickets go on sale to the public Aug. 5.
