Scheduled for Sept. 9- Sept. 11, Catskill Chill takes place at Camp Minglewood located in the western Catskills approximately 140 miles from New York City. This year’s lineup features Bill Kreutzmann and 7 Walkers, Umphrey’s McGee, Conspirator, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Particle, JGB feat. Melvin Seals, BoomBox, John Brown’s Body, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Pimps Of Joytime, Zach Deputy, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, The Heavy Pets, Headtronics, DJ Logic and more.
Yes, that is a lot of acts spread out over Catskill Chill’s three stages. Other attractions include morning yoga classes a bonfire drum circle and an open mic stage as well as plenty of food, clothing and craft vendors.
But perhaps the best attractions are the freebies, namely free parking and camping with paid admission. Although the music isn’t expected to stop until 3 a.m. Monday morning campers will have until noon that day to pack it up.
Here’s the ticket situation. Full weekend passes are priced at $105 while two-day tickets are going for $90. You can also get an RV parking pass for $40 although it does not include festival admission. And in case you’ve had your eye on those cabin rentals featuring showers and electricity, well, you should have moved faster because that option is sold out.
Any remaining tickets will be available at the gate during the festival, but expect a $20 bump in price. For more information, including the round trip bus option transporting fans from NYC to the festival and back, visit CatskillChill.com.
