Running Aug. 18-20, there’s plenty of club action each night of the festival, including The Veronicas, The Tender Box, and Run Run Run playing the Viper Room Aug. 18 while Aug. 19 club-hopping reveals Motion City Soundtrack at House Of Blues; Buckcherry at the Roxy Theatre; dredg at the Key Club; Purple Melon and Lady Sinatra at the Viper Room and Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger of The Doors rockin’ the Whisky A Go-Go.

This year, the Sunset Strip Music Festival gives its Elmer Valentine Award to Mötley Crüe. Although the band will be honored at a private event on Aug. 18, your three-day VIP pass will get you inside. Otherwise, you can see Mötley Crüe when the band headlines the day-long street festival scheduled for Aug. 20 on Sunset Boulevard between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard.

With the Crüe launching its set at 8:15 p.m. on SSMF’s west stage, Saturday’s street extravaganza also features Bush (6 p.m.), Escape The Fate (4:30 p.m.), She Wants Revenge (3:10 p.m.), and Black Veil Brides (2 p.m.) on the same stage while the east stage hosts Public Enemy (7 p.m.), Matt And Kim (5:10 p.m.), The Dirty Heads (3:50 p.m.), Cobra Starship (2:30 p.m.) and Tribal Seeds (1:30 p.m.).

If you haven’t yet purchased your SSMF tickets you better get the ol’ rear in gear. General admission tickets for Saturday’s street festival are currently priced at $55 but will go up to $70 the day of the show. A limited amount of VIP street festival tickets are available for $120 advance. All tickets are being sold without additional fees. For more information, visit SunsetStripMusicFestival.com.
