05:31 PM Tuesday 8/16/11 |   |

Taking Back Sunday fans will get another chance to see the alternative rock band in the U.S. this year thanks to the announcement of a nationwide fall tour.

The upcoming headline tour is a follow-up to a nearly sold-out summer trek across the states. Taking Back Sunday has a round of European dates scheduled in between the two U.S. runs Aug. 23 through Sept. 7, including performances at Leeds Festival and Reading Festival.

The group is touring in support of its self-titled, fifth studio album.     The album was released on Warner Bros. Records on June 28. The band’s most recent release before that was 2009’s New Again.

The headline tour kicks off Oct. 1 in Pharr, Texas, at Pharr Events Center. The fall fun wraps up Nov. 3 in Big Rapids, Mich., at Ferris State University.

Stops along the route include Lincoln, Neb., at Bourbon Theatre (Oct. 7); Des Moines, Iowa, at People’s (Oct. 11); Minneapolis at The Cabooze (Oct. 13); Pittsburgh at Zoo Entertainment Complex (Oct. 25); Poughkeepsie, N.Y., at The Chance Entertainment Complex (Oct. 28); and Northampton, Mass., at Pearl Street (Oct. 30).

The tour features The Maine and Bad Rabbits as support.

A small allotment of VIP tickets will be available through Taking Back Sunday and Artist Arena. The VIP tickets include a cut the line pass to get into the venue early in addition to access to an exclusive Q&A and meet and greet with the band.
