Headline dates, festival appearances, shows with The Avett Brothers and gigs opening for the Foo Fighters all add up to a rollicking fall adventure for Social Distortion.

Touring in support of Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes which was released earlier this year, Mike Ness & Co.’s fall agenda is a musical smörgåsbord of appearances. You get festival dates with Social D. playing Sonic Boom in Edmonton, Alberta, Sept. 4; Austin City Limits Music Festival Sept. 18, Chicago’s Riot Fest Oct. 28; and New Orleans’ Voodoo Experience Oct. 29.

And don’t forget about the band’s shows with The Avett Brothers including Irvine, Calif., at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Oct. 22 and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Oct. 28.

Social Distortion will also open several Foo Fighters shows, including Duluth, Ga., at the Arena at Gwinnett Center Nov. 7; Charlotte, N.C., at the Time Warner Cable Arena Nov. 8; Philadelpia’s Wells Fargo Center Nov. 10; Washington D.C., at the Verizon Center Nov. 11; NYC’s Madison Square Garden Nov. 13; Newark, N.J., at the Prudential Center Nov. 14 and Boston’s TD Garden Nov. 16.

Then there’s the band’s headlining agenda, featuring Chuck Ragan along with Off With Their Heads in some markets, Suedehead in others. That run begins in Jacksonville, Fla., at Plush Nov. 1 and includes shows at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theatre Nov. 4; Lake Buena Vista near Orlando at House Of Blues Nov. 5; Buffalo, N.Y., at Town Ballroom Nov. 22; Louisville, Ky., at Expo 5 Nov. 25; Grand Rapids, Mich., at the Orbit Room Nov. 27; Madison, Wis., at Orpheum Theatre Nov. 29; and Denver’s Ogden Theatre Dec. 4.
