Fans will have the chance to be the Celtic punk band’s roadie through the online “Roadie For A Day” raffle. The contest is brought to you by the band’s charity, The Claddagh Fund, in partnership with the Boston Bruins Foundation.
The winner will receive two tickets and backstage passes to the Sept. 9 sold out Dropkick Murphys show at Boston’s Fenway Pack. The roadie and their guest will help set up for the show, listen in on soundcheck, hang out in the band’s dressing room, and enjoy the show from a VIP spot on the side of the stage. The prize also includes round trip airfare and two nights hotel accommodations.
To enter the contest fans must purchase a minimum of two raffle tickets, which are priced at $5, through the NHL Alumni Association charity raffle website. The raffle ends Friday at 5 p.m. EST.
Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Claddagh Fund. The fund, which was founded by Dropkick Murphys bassist/vocalist Ken Casey, raises money for charities supporting the needs of children, veterans and those struggling with alcohol and drug abuse.
Another way to win tickets is by entering George Killian’s Irish Red Ruckus sweepstakes. Because the contest is being held by the makers of an Irish lager, you might have guessed that it is limited to fans 21 and up. The contest is also void in California.
Ten winners will each win two tickets to see the Dropkick Murphys perform Nov. 17 at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club. The prize also includes air transportation, lodging and spending money.
Eligible fans can enter by texting RUCKUS to 90464 (standard text message rates apply) or by completing the online entry form at www.GeorgeKillians.com.
