No Langerado For 2011

03:01 PM Tuesday 9/6/11 |   |

The 2011 edition of Langerado Music Festival in Sunrise, Fla., has been canceled.

The festival scheduled to take place Oct. 8-9 at Markham Park was canceled by Boros Entertainment.

The lineup included Death Cab For Cutie, Trey Anastasio, Ben Harper, Ween, Thievery Corporation, Arctic Monkeys, G. Love & Special Sauce, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Wolfgang Gartner, The Glitch Mob and Ghostland Observatory.

An announcement on Langerado’s website doesn’t explain why the festival is no longer taking place. The home page of the site simply says: “Boros Entertainment has regretfully canceled Langerado.” Ticket holders are told to call 888-512-SHOW or e-mail support@FGTCustomerService.com for information on full refunds.

This isn’t the first time Langerado has been called off. The festival, which made its debut in 2003, was set to take place in Miami in 2009 but was canceled that year because of slow ticket sales. The event was not held in 2010.

    @jaredoliveira The only thing I admit is that you are a monumental douche. The *** LANGERADO website says "CANCELLED". We are writing English here. If you care to invent the rules to your own language, by all means go ahead. In the ENGLISH LANGUAGE it is cancelled, you imbecile.

    Delta [...] Face it, you made a mistake and looked foolish.

    It most definitely clearly says "CANCELLED" on Langerado's website; this is a story about Langerado. You are a stupid troll. so I suppose you compensate by categorizing me as trying to be a smart troll when in fact I am reportedly stupid; sounds like the dollar experiment just discussed a couple of days ago on NPR.

    Delta can't accept he looked a tit. Look you tried to be a smart troll and point out a spelling mistake that wasn't. Now you are blaming the rest of us.

    Face it, you made a mistake and looked foolish.

    Is FLORIDA in "America", douches? Click on the *** link above where it states "Click here for Langerado Music Festival's website." In fact, the quote in the story itself when I posted my remark correctly said "cancelled" before they performed a ghost-edit to MISQUOTE the Langerado website. Lastly, where does English derive from anyway? Just because you and the rest of the yokels in your village are uncultured -- and itching to vote for Michele Bachmann -- does not mean that the rest of the globe has to diminish standards for you.

    Cancelled. Learn *** English.

    "Fresno = America"

    The British version of the words has double L's. America only has one.

    Pollstar is based in Fresno, California.

    Fresno = America.

    Therefore, the single L'd "canceled" is correct.
