X For The Holidays

12:01 PM Tuesday 9/13/11 |   |

The legendary Los Angeles band announces its annual run of holiday shows. Dates, cities and venues after the jump.

Yes, it’s that time of year again as X fans begin planning for the band’s yearly holiday romp. The band’s Xmas Rock N Roll Revival begins in Phoenix at Club Red Dec. 9 and concludes with two shows in San Francisco at Slim’s Dec. 30 & 31.

In between look for X to play in Tucson at the Fox Theatre Dec. 10 and Las Vegas at the House Of Blues Dec. 11; before hitting California for shows in San Juan Capistrano at The Coach House Dec. 14; Agoura Hills at the Canyon Club Dec. 15; Los Angeles at The Music Box Dec. 16; Bakersfield at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace Dec. 28 and Sacramento at Harlow’s Dec. 29.

Joining X on the band’s holiday tour will be gospel duo Sean Wheeler and Zander Schloss and The Black Tibetans.

But don’t go thinking the band is idle until the holidays. X launches its fall tour at Philadelphia’s Riot Fest Sept. 24. Celebrating the 31st anniversary of the release of its classic Los Angeles album, X will perform a track-by-track rendition of Los Angeles on the fall run as well as show the rock-umentary “X: The Unheard Music” before each night’s show. Come November, the band will appear as Pearl Jam’s special guest in South American tour as well as PJ’s Costa Rica and Mexico dates.
