Scheduled for Sept. 23-24 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, iHeartRadio’s lineup includes Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Kenny Chesney, The Black Eyed Peas, Steven Tyler, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Jane’s Addiction, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Rascal Flatts, Bruno Mars, Sublime With Rome and Kelly Clarkson along with special performances by Usher, Sting and Jeff Beck.
Tickets for iHeartRadio sold out within minutes of going on sale, but through an alliance between Clear Channel and Microsoft you can watch the entire two-day extravaganza when it streams live into your home in high-definition. However, there is one small catch regarding the stream – you’ll need an Xbox 360. That’s right, iHeartRadio’s exclusive high-def stream comes to you via the Xbox Live Network.
Clear Channel is holding the iHeartRadio Music Festival to promote its new digital radio product. Designed to compete against Internet music streamers such as Pandora, the iHeartRadio service is a customizable listening experience that includes access to more than 900 of the nation’s most popular live broadcast and digital-only radio stations combined with user-created custom stations.
Audio from the iHeartRadio Music Festival will also be carried live on more than 600 Clear Channel terrestrial stations and more than 800 radio station websites, but only Xbox 360 enables you watch it in glorious high definition. For more information, visit iHeartRadio.com.
