Scheduled for Oct. 28-30 in Moog’s adopted hometown of Asheville, N.C., this year’s Moogfest has plenty to crow about, such as Brian Eno’s video installation called “77 Million Paintings,” which runs throughout the weekend.
Taking place in multiple venues in Asheville, Moogfest has added more buildings for your pleasure with concerts taking place at the Asheville Music Hall and the Diana Wortham Theatre. The festival plans to announce a new outdoor venue in the coming days. Other venues hosting Moogfest include Asheville Civic Center Arena, Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, and the Orange Peel.
Here’s how the daily schedules are shaping up. Friday, Oct. 30 includes performances by The Antlers, Holy F**k, Little Dragon, Flying Lotus, Chromeo, Tangerine Dream, TV On The Radio, and Moby.
Saturday’s lineup includes Adrian Belew Power Trio, Yacht, The Naked And Famous, St. Vincent, SBTRKT, Dan Deacon, Battles, Suicide, Amon Tobin: ISAM Live, Crystal Castles, STS9, The Flaming Lips and “Brian Eno ‘Illustrated Talk.’”
The last day at Moogfest includes performances by Toro Y Moi, Glasser, Beats Antique, Neon Indian, Childish Gambino, Ghostland Observatory, James Murphy and Pat Mahoney, M83, Umphrey’s McGee, and Passion Pit.
