After spending the summer touring with Ke$ha and LMFAO you can see MC Spank Rock headline his own gigs when the first ever “Check Yo Ponytail Tour” launches in Southern California next month.

A Los Angeles party fixture since 2006, “Check Yo Ponytail” was created by DJ Franki Chan as an “open-genre, open-format” weekly event that drew people from all walks of life. Eschewing specific audiences such as rock, rap or dance, Check Yo Ponytail brought together people from diverse musical tastes for nights of full-throttle fun.

With his new album, Everything Is Boring And Everyone Is A F**king Liar coming out Sept. 27 on Bad Blood Records, Spank Rock launches the tour in Los Angeles at the Mayan Theatre Oct. 20. Other destinations include San Francisco’s Mezzanine Oct. 21; San Diego at Voyeur Oct. 22; Seattle at Nuemos Oct. 27; Brooklyn, N.Y., at the Brooklyn Bowl Oct. 29; Austin at Fun Fun Fun Fest Nov. 4; and Miami’s Grand Central Nov. 5.

Big Freedia, The Death Set, Pictureplane and Franki Chan are on all dates except for Nov. 4 when The Death Set will not appear. Visit CheckYoPonyTail.com for more information.
