Ant Music Coming To The U.S.A.
Adam Ant recently signed with U.S. representation. Now comes word he will play the states for the first time since the Clinton Administration.
Ant will tour in support of his new album, Adam Ant Is The Blueblack Hussar In Marrying The Gunner’s Daughter, due to be released on the Blueblack Hussar label in January.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Adam to Libertalia’s roster,” said the singer’s brand new American agent James Harding in a statement. “Adam’s material dating from the very beginning of his career, has been a staple part of my personal music collection and I hold him in very high regard. To say his contribution to the industry has been significant would be an understatement.”
Harding went on to say Ant’s U.S. run would not be a “revival tour.” Expect Ant to arrive on these shores in February.
Aldean Keeps The Party Going In 2012
Jason Aldean announced today that his “My Kinda Party” tour will continue next year.
Although the country artist didn’t release a 2012 routing, he did name cities that will be included in the routing – Cedar Falls, Iowa, Champaign, Ill., Charlottesville, Va., Dayton, Ohio, E. Rutherford, N.J., Fayetteville, N.C., Green Bay, Wis., Greenville, S.C., Huntsville, Ala., Jonesboro, Ar., Kansas City, Mo., Oklahoma City, Okla., Orlando, Fla., St. Paul, Minn., Tupelo, Miss., and Wichita, Kan.
Special guest Luke Bryan will join Aldean on the tour.
Right now there’s only one date on Aldean’s 2012 schedule – Feb. 24 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Word is it’s already sold-out.
Poison & Peru
From the sounds of it, something shady might be going on in South America related to Poison.
The band’s management company issued a short statement this week saying a Poison concert advertised as taking place in Lima, Peru, is pure fiction.
The notice from management went on to say the band had not scheduled the show nor does it have any involvement with it.
However, there was still a glimmer of hope for South American fans in the announcement. Poison’s management concluded its message by saying a “possible” tour of South America” is “in the works for later this year, and that will be announced once confirmed.”
