Set Times The Virtual Voodoo Way

The folks behind Voodoo Experience had such a fun time announcing the 2011 lineup through its social networks that the festival is revealing this year’s set times over the weekend via the event’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Voodoo Experience takes place over Halloween weekend Oct. 28-29 at New Orleans City Park. To find out when your favorite act is taking the stage you’ll have to keep tabs on the festival’s official Facebook and Twitter pages between now and Sunday evening. 

The schedule is being announced with video clips from the lineup’s acts posted at times that mirror the actual set times. Festival organizers kicked off the Virtual Vodoo set times game this morning at 10:15 a.m. Central Time with videos from Natalie Mae and Achachay. In other words, you can count on Natalie Mae and Achachay to perform Oct. 28 at 10:15 a.m.

Set times were also announced for Dangermuffin, Cheeky Blakk, Lynn Drury, Force Feed Radio, The Static Jacks, Tony Skratchere, DJ Quickie Mart, High Ground Drifters Bluegrass Band, Civil Twilight, The Wombats, The Bangerz, Blind Pilot, Maya Jane Coles, Honey Island Swamp Band, King Britt, Peelander-Z, Mates of State, and Members Of Morphine & Jeremy Lyons

Still to come are set time announcements for acts including Soundgarden, Blink-182, The Raconteurs, Snoop Dogg, Girl Talk, and Fatboy Slim.

Virtual Voodoo will continue through Sunday at 8 p.m. Central Time. The full set times lineup will be announced early Oct. 10.

Tickets are still on sale. Three-day general admission passes are priced at $150 and single-day tickets are $70. VIP passes are also available. Fans can also take advantage of Voodoo’s partnership with the Marriott New Orleans in the historic French Quarter for $149 per night Voodoo rates.
