‘Michael Forever’ – Photos, Word Of Another Tribute

04:01 PM Monday 10/10/11 | |

To be sure, “Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert” that took place Saturday in the U.K. at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium had its share of controversy. While Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson endorsed the show, her sons Jermaine and Randy dissed the concert’s date because it conflicted with the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician accused of causing Michael Jackson’s death by administering the anesthetic propofol to the King of Pop.

Janet Jackson also cited Murray’s trial as her reason for not attending the concert.

But many top-draw artists did perform at the tribute, including Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Leona Lewis, Yolanda Adams, Smokey Robinson and various Jacksons (including La Toya). Even MJ’s kids put in an appearance.

Now, less than 48 hours after the concert, word is emerging that there might be a second tribute. Citing “sources close to the family,” TMZ says a December show in Tokyo might be in the works and would feature “mainly Japanese” acts in addition to the Jackson Brothers (minus Randy) headlining the event.
